Torque Motors Manufacture

Amber Torque motors are developed to satisfy demanding requirements of today’s machine designs with direct drive technology. These torque motors are applied where the rpm of motor is required to be changed with constant torque. Torque motor speed controlled either by providing three phase variac in series with stator winding. Torque Motor manufactured at Amber are supplied in Cast Iron B3, B5 or B14 mounting frames while they can also be supplied in aluminium frames on request. Higher frame sizes are generally suggested where the torque motors applied operate at low RPM for long periods.

Torque motors are supplied with F class insulation and can be supplied with H class insulation on request. All Amber Torque Motors are S1 Duty rated and in TEFC or TE Enclosures. At very low RPM forced external cooling is suggested. Application of torque motors include Plastics machinery, Rotary tables or swivel axes, Printing machines, Press systems, Coiling systems, Wire-drawing machines, Stretching units, Machine tools, Wood processing machines, Pelletizers and Ship propulsion systems.
